I'm here in Ogaki (about 30-40 minutes outside of Nagoya) with my friend James at a pretty cool Manga kissaten (cafe). It's got everything a nerd could want. Free coffee, food, internet access, manga (I'm not really into this, myself, however), PS2, and cable. You pay by the hour, but damn is it worth it. Everything concentrated in one spot.

I almost wasn't able to make it out to Ogaki last night. A quake of about 4 (on the Japanese scale) screwed up the train schedule and forced me to wait about an hour and a half at Nagoya station. When the train actually came, I had to stand in a packed car for about half the journey (42 minutes one way). I know... poor me. It actually wasn't so bad; I just missed half the poker games. I'm just glad it wasn't the great Tokai earthquake being predicted for the Shizuoka prefecture (close to here) within the next 5-10 years.

I also got a chance to try Mos burger's "Habanero Foccacia" mentioned on Tokyo metroblogging. It was pretty damn hot, but not as bad as DLA seems to think it is. I've been able to stomach hot things a lot more lately (which will come in handy when I go to China); I only fear that the sandwich will get its revenge in the bathroom.
